Patient Profile Interface

The Patient Profile Interface takes all the inherent capabilities of Stand-Alone and ADT~Billing and adds a key ingredient, a patient’s Pharmacy-Approved orders. Take a look at the medDISPENSE screen shot to the left (click on “View Screenshot” for a larger view); what we see are all of the medications that a pharmacist has reviewed and approved for this patient. medDISPENSE integrates with any HL-7 compliant pharmacy management software system (this covers 99.8% of all vendors). Through a Patient Profile Interface medDISPENSE can display information on the screen for a nurse that is pulled from your facility’s pharmacy management software. Information such as: all approved medications, drug on drug interactions, known allergies, and patient history. This helps reduce medication errors. Moreover, it allows the facility to meet JCAHO regulatory guidelines. Added features allow a nurse to prioritize the medications he or she wants to pull by filtering/prioritizing the orders. For example, you can show all orders due at 0800, or you can limit the profile display to only show medications due within the next hour. For increased flexibility, you can also limit the orders based on frequency – perhaps only showing the PRN orders. All of these features combined, contribute to safe and efficient medication dispensing.
