medDISPENSE is now a part of Emerson Electric Co.
medDISPENSE is pleased to announce their acquisition by Emerson Electric Co. (NYSE: EMR), a multi-national, $25 billion corporation. Emerson is active in diverse fields including consumer electronics, tools, appliances, network power, process management, industrial automation and climate control technologies.
The purchase by Emerson's Intermetro Industries (Metro) division is the company's third acquisition in the health care industry since May 2006, when it bought mobile cart vendor Flo Healthcare, followed in March 2007 with the acquisition of cart vendor Lionville Systems Inc. Metro sees medDISPENSE as a solid addition to its healthcare division and will enhance medDISPENSE's capabilities with their strong engineering background.
The medDISPENSE client base will see many product and company improvements over the upcoming years, including new generations of carts and software developments.
