Bill McClintock joined the
med
DISPENSE
team in January of 1999 as President.
After graduating from the University of Florida with a BS in Pharmacy in 1970,
Bill was drafted into the US Army and spent two years 1971-1973 in El Paso, TX as
a Pharmacist at William Beaumont Military Hospital. Bill is a registered
Pharmacist in Florida, Texas, and Georgia.
Bill's career spanned 25 years (1973-1999) with Owen Healthcare, the largest
Hospital Pharmacy Management company in America, where he held numerous positions
including, Director of Pharmacy, Regional Manager, Regional Vice-President of
Operations responsible for over 100 hospital pharmacies in the southeastern US
and over $100 million in Revenue. He also was National Account Manager for
several Hospital Chains ( HMA, UHS and several smaller ones since purchased).
During Bill's time at Owen Healthcare Hospital, dispensing automation was a new
concept. Bill was one of the leaders in this area and encouraged Owen to
incorporate this technology at their hospitals.
Bill left Owen to accept the position of President of
medDISPENSE
in 1999. In January of 2001 Bill and a partner purchased the company from Health
Care Systems. In January of 2004 Bill bought out his partner and is now the sole
owner of
medDISPENSE.
Bill holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Pharmacy from the University of
Florida, has taken a number of courses towards an MBA. Bill is currently a member
of the University of Florida College of Pharmacy Advisory Board and a member of
numerous Pharmacy related organizations.
